Precious Consequences by Tamsyn Bester

All it took was one night to change the rest of my life.

One night that created irrevocable consequences.

But some consequences aren’t all bad.

They can be amazing…beautiful… Precious.

I willingly accepted those consequences and wrote a new plan for my life. But that plan didn’t include Cameron Argent – the sexy-as-sin tattooed playboy who got under my skin the moment I laid eyes on him. I was headed down a dark and dangerous road where he was concerned and in the end, our relationship was inevitable. Despite our dark secrets, our feelings for each other burned brighter than a thousand stars and left us both naked, vulnerable.

But when my past came rolling back into my life like a Summer storm, I wasn’t sure if his love for me was enough.
Was he prepared to deal with the consequences of a past I couldn’t regret or would he walk away with my beating heart in his hands?

This book was given to me for an honest review.

Thus is the first time I read this author and I have to say it is well worth the read.  I loved the story line.  It shows that life happens and so do mistakes, but this mistakes sometimes end up the best thing that happens to us.  Hayley is a very strong herion and that what was needed for this book.  The strength of this girl to overcome the obstacles, that yes she may have caused, helped her become a stronger woman.  Cameron, even though he was portrayed as a bad boy, really wasn't.  For being a ladies man, his heart was only meant to be with one.  I think that made it so much more realistic. He has a past but that is what made him a strong man also.  The secondary characters were such a supportive role in this book that I truly think they were all needed.  I loved the depth of this book and how it just flowed.  The epilogue was a great ending to this book, it truly made the book complete.

Hayley is running from a past and trying to get her life together for her daughter ari.  Going to school and supporting herself is all, she wants.  One broken down car, one gorgeous swimmer, and one heated interaction is all it takes to change plans.  Cameron is drowning in guilt for two years, but one day at a daycare center he helps a gorgeous woman in need to get to school.  What starts out as a challenge to get her in bed ends up being a fight for his heart.  With secrets that lie between them and people that to destroy their happiness will they find their happily ever after?

This author has told a great love story and I am very glad I got to read this author.  I hope to read more from her.

Bring On The Heat by Katie Rose

House-sitting for a rich and famous friend has its perks, and Darcy Hamel isn’t shy about enjoying them. Especially when it means scoring a ticket to an exclusive fashion show hosted by the New Jersey Sonics. An avid baseball fan, Darcy has always dreamed of meeting the team—especially the starting pitcher whose body is as hot as his fastball. But there’s a catch. The gala is by invitation only. To get behind the velvet rope, mild-mannered Darcy will have to pose as party girl Lydia Logan.

Schmoozing is one of the downsides of fame, but Chase Westbrook knows how to liven up even the dullest event. And nothing spices a night up more than a beautiful socialite with a naughty reputation. What Chase doesn’t expect is a hint of sweetness beneath her sultry façade. Flirtation turns to seduction and leaves him aching for more. Chase just doesn’t know who the real Lydia is: the spoiled tease crying foul over some missing diamonds or the alluring woman making a play for his heart.

This book was given to me for an honest review.

This is a cute beach read.  Its fast paced and it is very entertaining.  I loved chase in this book.  One he's an athlete and that always gets my attention and second he is true to who he is.  They are always positive attributes.  Darcy was a great herion.  Although she was a little timid at the beginning her character really grew throughout the book.  I want to include lydia also, because she may be the spoiled rich girl but her character was well played in the book.  Being that it was a very cute read I just felt it was a little predictable and felt I knew what was going to happen throughout the book.  The characters are memorable and loved them, but I wished there was a little more.

Lydia wants to go away with a price, so her house sitter darcy has been drafted to her favorite teams fundraiser to replace lydia. Darcy doesn't mind because she gets to meet the sonics and pretends to be a socialite all in one.  One night becomes more than just a dream, she meets chase and the hit off.  Only problem is that he thinks she's lydia.  How do you explain things when it gets so involved and you can't back down? When will lydia come back and will she ruin everything?  Can this last forever?

This author is very good and I hope to read more from her.

Dressed In White by Jessica Gibson

Lorelei Peters had everything she had ever dreamed of. Amazing friends, a sexy boyfriend, and a job that she absolutely loved.

Dillon Brockwell was all she had ever wanted. Handsome, successful, and he loved her as much as she loved him. Life was going along the way it was supposed to, until someone from Dillon’s past shows up and shatters everything to pieces.

Can Lorelei and Dillon get through all the craziness and make it down the aisle? Or will lies of omission be enough to derail them forever.

I was given this book for an honest review.
This is a really quick, love story read.  I enjoyed that I could sit down in  a few hours and read this book.  The author made the story believable, which sometimes is very hard to do.  Loved how she wrote the story and her descriptive words over the wedding was awesome.  I loved the drama that played out, but at some points it did feel too lovey dovey.  Some things should just be a little harder to get over, but that is just me.  The secondary characters, Dillion and lor's siblings were great.  They are going to have a great story to tell.  Roxi, lor's bff, great person, she is definetly someone you want in your corner.  Estella, the former of Dillion's, evil person, but what would it be without any drama.  Like I said before the book is great, just some parts didn't seem believable at times and I think she could have added a little more drama to all of it.

Lor has been with Dillion for four years now, she's hoping he will propose, which he does, but surprisingly he shouldn't have, because well he's already married.  Estella turns up and makes a mess of the world Lor and Dillion is in.  With the twists and turns of everything, we are not even sure if they will have their happily ever after.  Will Lor take Dillion back, or is it too much?  Are there more secrets that they don't know about?  Will love survive or will there be no happily ever after?  Well I have to tell you, read the book.

I definetly like this book and I can't wait to hear the rest of kayla's and Dane's story.  Hope I am not waiting to long.

The Tempering by Adrianne James

The Mythology department at prestigious Harvard University is tiny—and Mackenzie Duncan has just been selected as one of the lucky few. Her love for myths and legends is strong, but she never thought any of it could be real.

After being attacked by a large wolf while walking home alone, Mackenzie realizes something is not right. She heals quickly, is suddenly super strong, and is experiencing mood swings that can't possibly be normal. The myths she's studying aren't myths at all. Werewolves are real and she's one of them. Fear of what she is, and who she might hurt sends Mackenzie running from the life she’s worked hard to build–and straight into the arms of a handsome Were named Geoff and into the home of his pack. Living with her new pack takes the edge off her confusion and self-loathing, but the arrival of new pack members changes the dynamic, and tests Geoff and Mackenzie’s growing relationship.

The hardest part of being a werewolf is having no control and no memory of her time as a blood thirsty beast. When a moon cycle passes and she actually remembers bits and pieces of the night, she starts to ask questions, and the more questions she asks, the more she realizes she doesn't like the answers. Can she set aside her own sense of morals to belong to a pack that is like a family or will she leave everything behind yet again in search of a life she can be proud of?

I was given this book for an honest review.
So I take a break from my romance novels and jump into this werewolf book.  OMG, what a welcome surprise.  I thought it was going to be a book that I would read and well forget.  I was totally thrown.  The characters, absolutely great.  Even though I would think Mackenzie is the main character, everyone has a role to play in this book.  There is power, love, and suspense in the book that makes it that good.  I like how it is not one of those frilly books and that you can actually get into it and want to read it.  The scenes are really good, I could imagine everything the way it was and that always makes a big difference.  Her writing is incredible.  YOu can tell she took a lot of time and thought about it.  I don't like that I need to wait for the next book, but that is my fault because I truly loved this story.  Lets not forget in all supernatural books we must have a love triangle aslo...lol

Mackenzie is a normal student, going to school at Harvard.  All of that changes after a dark walk in a park, when a wolf bites her. After  not know what to do, she drops out of school and makes her way to a bed and breakfast.  She meets Geoff, Margaret, and Anilise.  After she turns they realize that she is a werewolf and brings her back to her pack.  This is where it all picks up, I'm not one for spoilers so let me tell you the drama is there.  There is so much backstabbing, love twists, and secrets that you have to read the book and find out what happens, because the next book is going to be epic.

First time reading this author and I love her.  I will continue to read her books and cant wait for the next one to come out.

Review by Elizabeth
I was given this book for an honest review.
I love reading new authors and let me tell you this is a great story.  Its a cliffhanger, but omg it is so worth it.  The characters superb. The whole cast and story is so good I couldn't put it down.  From the coffee shop, to Taylors house, to the darkroom.  You could imagine it all.  She is very creative on how she let's each part of the story unfold.  I think that was the best part of it.

Shy is a freelance designer, one eventful coffee shop encounter changes her whole world.  Taylor, the CEO of h.I.  is enchanted by her, which leads to a whirlwind romance.  There are many secrets that Taylor has that he can't tell.  Being strong and powerful comes with its own struggles.  With so many secrets you know drama is going to occur.  Just know you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely love this book and I truly can't wait for the next book to come out.

Excerpt:

"I have a mask just like the one that Taylor wears. It allows you to walk the earth pretending you are like all the others. I had worn it for so long and so well, I had almost forgotten. When we bumped into each other that first day, he recognized it. He could see right through the flimsy veneer. And so, we measured each other, tried to see if they other recognized our darkness. Bit by bit, we chipped away at each other's facade. Then this dance, this masquerade culminated today. When someone has the whole picture of who you are, it it a powerful weapon that can be used against you. You spend your life guarding the darkness until someone comes along who makes it no longer possible. The exposure is maddening and exhilarating all at once."

I was given this book for an honest review.
I was really excited to find out what happens with Reed and Elle.  The author takes a turn and tells how Elle is trying to get her life back together which I think is good, but it is frustrating because Reed is in town but they still haven't met up in the first ten chapters.  Life seems to be getting better for Elle, but for Reed he is frustrated.  The author starts Reed off, going to college, getting ready for tryouts, and trying to figure out if he can win Elle back.  In the first quarter of the book I really enjoy Reed's POV better than Elle's, because you can tell Elle still doesn't know what she wants, but Reed has a plan.  This is a book of second chances and honestly I loved this book so much more than Breaking Elle.  Reading the last two thirds of this book really picked up.  There is so much drama in this book and still many secrets still there that need to be found out which makes it that more enticing.  Love is a tricky thing and Reed and Elle prove over and over again that it can be so worth it.  With adding Luke, good ole Tyler, Cane, Jace, and a bunch of secondary characters its a cluster of what is going to happen next and who is in trouble this time.  The epilogue,  I would have to say it was perfect, to still see insecurities, even though they have been through so much makes it real, and I truly like real books.  This book of the series did not drag like the first one and it really kept you wanting more, and that is what I liked.

On the second book of this series, Reed decides that he needs to go back and make things with Elle.  Elle is trying to regain some composure in her life, but with all honesty she is failing.  She is trying to live, but she misses Reed immensly.  As Reed comes back into the picture.  Tyler has now moved in for the opening and well, it made sense.  With that complication Reed has to figure out how to win his girl back.  With the lingering debt still in his future, his love for Elle, and his mom with her cancer coming back, his plate is full, oh and don't forget his football career that he is trying to pursue.  What is a boy gonna do?  He's gonna fight for everything that he wants.  There is still so much drama that it will keep you intriguged until you finish the book.

I absolutely loved this book and not only was the storyline great, it had my favorite sports teams in it.  New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys.  How can you go wrong.  You can't.  Read this book, this is one of these books that you will have a hangover for a few days and it will be well worth it.

"Best view ever.” I spin around in the direction of his smooth voice and immediately soak him in. He’s leaning against the doorjamb with one leg crossed over the other and holding his arms behind his back, looking as impeccable as ever. His shaggy brown hair is just the right length, resting at the nape of his neck, just enough for me to pull.  He's wearing a pair of deep blue warm-up pants that hang loosely on his narrow hips and a matching blue jacket unzipped at the neck with a tight, white T-shirt peeking underneath.  Reed has become more toned and defined with all the training he's been doing for NFL tryouts. I am definitely reaping the benefits of that right now. A smirk crosses his face as his piercing blue eyes scan every inch of my scantily clad body.  I know all too well what's on his mind.  His sensual eyes remain on me as he strolls toward me and pulls out a box from behind his back.
“For you." He winks, kissing me hungrily on the lips. He smells freshly showered and spicy and tastes like minty like his toothpaste.

I squint my eyes at him, taking the plain white box with a big red bow and ribbon from his hands.  After agreeing for him to pick out my Halloween costume, he's been like a little boy at a candy store.  I catch the smirk on his lips and the glimmer in his eye when I hold it in front of me.

"What’s wrong?" He asks with a laugh.

"I'm just worried about what’s in this box."

“Don't be. Trust me.  You’ll love it as much as I do."

“Well, isn’t that reassuring?" I grin, poking him in his chest.

“No need to worry. You're going to look delicious."  The corners of his mouth turn up wickedly. "You're with me and only me."

"Oh, aren't we being a little possessive?"

“Maybe a little.” He looks down at me and plays with strands of my hair. "Speaking of a little, I need a lot. Right now,” he says, grabbing me by the waist. “Trick or Treat?” He winks.

“That all depends on what's in this mysterious white box,” I reply with a quirked eyebrow as I set the box down on the dresser. Closing the space between us, he groans in satisfaction when I rub my body against his.

“Don't worry about what's in there.  I need something sweet,” he growls, running his lips down my neck as he gently backs me up toward the bed.

"First, I get to choose what you’re going to be for Halloween." I give him a beguiling smile as I eye him up and down, imagining him in a snug-fitting gray and blue uniform. "Cop."

"Cop?" he replies, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I’ve always had a thing for men in uniform,” I whimper, placing my palms flat on his chest and sliding them down to the waist of his pants. "I have this fantasy of you frisking me and cuffing me to the bed."
“Oh fuck I'm loving this fantasy of yours," he moans. Grabbing my ass, he tightly presses me against his heat. "I can definitely make that come true for you.”
"What the charge, Officer Reed?"
"Concealed weapon and indecent exposure,” he growls into my ear as he lifts me and throws me onto the bed.  I glance at the clock and up at him as he slips off his clothes and crawls over me.  "Or should I say decent exposure?" he rasps as he deftly unclasps my bra, palming one breast while he puts his soft lips on the other.
“Oh... baby. Do you think we have enough time?” I gasp, trying to finish my thought, but it’s futile.
"Don't worry about Tommy and Juju. They’re adults.  I’m not rushing anything right now. I want to practice, get into character. I'm going to be one bad cop, baby," he says with a grin playing across his lips.
"Are you going to book me?" I murmur innocently as his tongue skims over my lips.
"I want to fuck you instead.  Is that all right with you?" He grins as he spreads my legs with his body, cradling himself between my thighs.
Staring into his eyes makes me want to fulfill his every desire. I will not deny him.
"Yes.” I pant. “Yes.”  My hands instinctively fist in his hair and I pull.
"I think they call that assaulting a police officer. He says in a gravelly voice. "You can do some hard time for that."
"Hard, huh?"  I bite his lower lip, grinding my hips against his erection. "Throw the book at me, officer."
"I am doll,” he says through a smile, as he lowers his mouth around my aching nipples. He sucks and bites on one and then the other. I close my eyes, devoured by a sea of pleasure that only he can give me. "You like how that feels?”
“Yes, baby." My gasp. "Please... Reed…if you don't put your cock inside me right now, I'm going to die."
“I need to taste you first."
The mere sound of his words make me heady and causes my body to go into a frenzy. Oh, god. His declaration unleashes a torrent of need in me. My body can't wait any longer.  My next words come out in a breathy whisper.
"Whatever you want. My body is your temple."
"Good."  He smiles salaciously, trailing his hand down the length of my body. "I fucking want you so damn bad."
He blazes kisses down my body and then his wet, hot mouth devours my clit.  He circles his tongue around my folds while his fingers move in and out of me. "Fuck, you're so wet." he moans in ecstasy.  I place my hands on his head, guiding his mouth over me.  His indulgence  pushes me to the edge.  Lifting his mouth off me, he plunges his fingers deep inside me and rubs my nub with his thumb while he kisses my stomach. He moves back down, replacing his fingers with his mouth.  I can barely speak as his tongue fiercely laps over my clit again and again, increasing the friction with every stroke. There is no other feeling like it, and I scream in elation. I feel the vibration of his mouth as he groans against me while I come.  After a few minutes, he kisses his way back up to my mouth as I fist his hair in my hands and tug.
"Baby, please, I want you inside me. I want more."
He smiles and continues kissing me and ignoring my pleas. His hard cock rubs against my stomach, clearly exhibiting how much he needs me.  I need him. I lower my hand and start to stroke him, but he pulls my hands away and holds them above my head. There is nothing I can do as his cock twitches against me. I love feeling completely vulnerable with Reed.
"Believe me, baby, I'm going to give you all of me," he moans, sliding his cock across my sensitive skin.  My heart beats feverishly in my chest when I feel him enter me. My hips impulsively rock back and forth against the heat of him.  He moves up and down, allowing me to feel every inch of him thrusting deeper inside me.
He takes one of his hands and moves my head to the side, deftly pulling my hair to kiss me and sighing into my mouth. "You feel so fucking good." His voice is filled with lust as he keeps his precise, focused rhythm, plunging inside me as I tighten around him. I mewl when he pounds deeper and harder into me, digging my nails into his shoulders as I rock my hips against him forcefully. "Does it feel good, doll?  I want to hear you say it, baby. Tell me,” he whispers into my ear. “Tell me you want me to make you come again."
"Make me come," I moan. “Please, Reed."  Every muscle in my body instantly tightens as I stare into his eyes.  My heart is pounding, and I fist his hair in my hands as he works me so good.  Pressing my legs against him as hard as I can, the orgasm rips through my body recklessly, consuming every bit of me like only he could allow.  He pants hard and continues to thrust and pound until moments later I feel him release his warmth inside me.  A groan escapes his mouth as he presses his powerful body on top of mine. He finds my lips and gently collapses next to me where we lie quietly for a couple of minutes; the only sound is our labored breathing.
"Can we try something new next time?" I finally break the silence, pushing the hair away from his eyes and pulling him closer to me so that I can reach up and kiss him again.
“Sure," he replies, kissing my shoulder.  “Whatever you want."  I close my eyes as he caresses me in all the right places.  I never realized how much my body yearns and craves his touch until tonight.
“Cuffs," I say, opening my eyes.  The guarded, dark look in his eyes sends a shiver through me. It thrills and frightens me at the same time.  I want it that way. The pleasure and pain.
“Oh...shit. I like the sound of that,” he growls. "I'm going to use you, worship you and love you. Please, let me make you mine,” he whispers into my ear. “You trust me, baby?"
"I trust you." For some reason with everything we've been through, trusting him comes so naturally.

Review by Elizabeth
I was given this book for an honest review.
This is the first book of the series, and I must say it is a great start.  I love that characters in the book and the descriptions of what is going on is very good.  This book is very intense in some parts, the characters have very dominating characteristics and makes the book much more intense.  I like how it goes back and forth in Elle's and Reed's POV.  You get to feel how they are feeling all the way through the book.  Now why I couldn't give it four stars is because sometimes it feels a little too lengthy, and says the same thing over and over again.  Having three guys that are "totally in love with Elle" is a little extreme too.  And the cheating, not full blown, but enough to be considered to be cheating is overboard. If you say your in love with one person, why would you be kissing your best friend the next, saying we can only be friends.  Elle sometimes feels a little wishy washy for my tastes also, she is to be strong, and at times she really is, but then thats gone and well she struggles throughout the book.  The book really started picking up half way through and I think that was the best part of it.  So many secrets are there, and well I think this is going to cause most of the problems going into the next book.  I like how the book was left and that you are ready to read the next book because you want to see what happens.  Will Elle and Reed make it?  Will Elle take Cane back? Or will Tyler finally get his happily ever after?  Will Elle get what she wants?  There is so much angst in this book, some great memories, tons of secrets, and love squares all the way through that it is definetly a great book to read.  I can't wait to start the next book.
