Let Me Go by D.C. Renee

Rape. One word changed his life. Mason Tredwell had it all. He was a good looking, well-respected doctor. He had money, power, and friends. He never worried about finding a woman to warm his bed. But that all changed when he was wrongfully accused of rape. And now, after five years in prison and the loss of everything he cared about, he wanted revenge.
Abandoned as a baby and bounced around different foster homes, Kat Gingham never really had a charmed life. But now, things were really falling apart. She had no money, no job, and even her lying, cheating boyfriend was gone too. She allowed herself one night to cry about her situation before she picked herself back up. But when she woke up, she was no longer at home, and she was no longer alone. She was facing Mason, a guy who claimed she ruined his life. And he’s hell-bent on breaking her down, humiliating her, making her feel like he has all these years.
She claimed she had no clue what he was talking about, but he didn't believe her. The facts don’t lie.
Was Kat lying? Could she convince Mason to let her go? Or was fate playing a role in why they were thrown into this together?

I was given a complimentary copy of Let me go by Luv Books Galore for an honest review.
Mason had it all. Money, was a well-respected doctor and he had a lot of friends. He never had to worry about women. But it all changed when he was wrongly accused of raped. After being in prison for five years he is getting out and wants revenge.
Kat was abandoned as a baby and went to a lot of different foster homes. She never had a charmed life. Her life is now really falling apart. Kat has no money, or job and her lying and cheating boyfriend left her too. Kat allowed herself one night to cry about everything and then she was going to move past it. When she wakes up the next day she is no longer at home and she isn't alone. Mason has taken her and claimed she ruined his life. Mason wants to break her down and make her feel what he has being locked up in jail. Kat keeps telling Mason she has no idea what he is talking about. Who is right? Who is wrong?
I really enjoyed this story. It was different from anything I've read before.
Kat and Mason make a good couple. Benny, Mason's best friend from jail is the most incredible and likable character you will ever meet. He is so funny. He is a good person and he is the one that pushes Kat and Mason together.
I recommend this book. It was good. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Daring the Wild Sparks by Ren Alexander

In the follow up to “Chasing the Wild Sparks,” Hadley Beckett’s quest for wedded bliss perseveres…

What would you do if the love of your life were closer to making your dreams come true?

Riding high in her relationship with her sportscaster/local daredevil boyfriend, Finn Wilder, Hadley Beckett makes plans concerning her future with Finn. Big plans.

Spending time with Finn at his parents’ house for Easter, Hadley can’t wait to share some of her ideas with him, hoping he will go along. She knows she has an uphill climb ahead of her, but she’s optimistic that after what they recently went through, Finn will be receptive to what she has to say.

Infamously anti-marriage, Finn promised Hadley he’d consider taking her to the altar if she gives him more time. Diving headfirst and with encouragement from her best friend Morgan, Hadley devises a backup plan if Finn can’t make a decision soon. However, her other close friend, Rod, disagrees with Morgan’s advice, partly to just oppose her in spite, but also having actual valid points of his own. Feeling conflicted, Hadley takes both of their suggestions and blends them together, formulating her own way to handle Finn.

On the other hand, unbeknownst to Hadley, Finn has plans of his own as well.

Hadley is determined to succeed, yet is she unwittingly destined to fail?

I was given a copy of Daring the Wild Sparks by Love Romance books blog for an honest review. I enjoyed the first book and was happy to be able to go from book 1 to book 2. Finn is considering taking Hadley to the altar if she will just give him some more time. Hadley is devising a plan if Finn doesn’t make up his mind soon. She is getting impatient. Hadley is determined to get her way. Finn has his own plans. Will it all blow up? You will have read the story to find out. This book was really good. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Chasing the Wild Sparks by Ren Alexander

What would you do if the love of your life doesn’t want the same life you do?
Hadley Beckett has failed in not only her career, but as a daughter, friend, and girlfriend.

Hadley’s longtime boyfriend, Finn Wilder, who is Richmond, Virginia’s local daredevil and favorite sportscaster, isn’t afraid of anything…except for LASIK surgery, dancing, marriage, and kids—the last two being what Hadley desperately wants with him. Finn leads a very public life; however, he leaves Hadley in the dark about most of it. Despite his public persona, Finn is viciously protective of his private life. Excluding their families, his best friend and Hadley’s friends, nobody knows he has been dating her for three years. Finn loves Hadley and he knows she wants to get married. Nevertheless, he has his own reasons for not wanting to marry her.

Fearing at 33 that she will soon be too old to have kids, Hadley wants Finn to change his mind and marry her, yet her insecurities about his seemingly charismatic personality and his constant rebuffs have her questioning her aspirations. With conflicting advice from her friends, Hadley concludes she should take things into her own hands.
Would he change his mind then?

Finn pressures Hadley into moving in with him, but being traditional, she wants to be married first and she wants to stick to her beliefs, just as he clings to his own. Finn has tolerated Hadley’s stubbornness long enough and he’s reaching his breaking point.

Finn Wilder has his own story to tell.

Review by Kayla

I was given a copy of Chasing the Wild Sparks by Love Romance books blog for an honest review. I really enjoyed Hadley and Finn’s relationship. It seemed like they had real life problems. I like books that I can kind of relate to. Hadley’s longtime boyfriend is afraid to commit. Like most men he isn’t sure he wants to be tied down and have kids. Finn loves Hadley but he has his own reasons for not wanting to marry him. Hadley is 33 and afraid that she will soon be too old to have children and she wants Finn to change his mind and marry her but he keeps rebuffing her questions about it. Finn pressures Hadley to move in with him but being traditional she feels they need to be married first. Finn has been tolerating Hadley’s stubbornness but he’s reaching his breaking point. This book was really good and had a lot of passion and love and compromise. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
