What happens when one moment changes the course of your entire life? Do you sit back and accept it, or fight to live the life you choose? Caleb Jacobs has a past that has haunted him for two years. Knowing he can never forgive himself for the events that led to his departure, Caleb chooses to live a quiet life—concentrating on school, sports, and shots. But when he is paired with Angie for a history project he realizes that no matter how much you try to hide from your past, one way or another it will find you.
Angelina Powers knows what she wants from life. Growing up with only an alcoholic father for company, Angie learned early on in life that you can only count on yourself. But that doesn’t stop her wishing for her white knight. She’s confident, happy and focused…until she meets Caleb. So how will she feel when her potential white knight turns out to be more of a black shadow?

I was given this book for an honest review.

This book was good. I felt for the characters as they dealt with insecurities and utter confusion during heartbreaking situations. The old saying that bad things happen to good people is very important in this story, and something that is very hard to accept. There is a constant tug and pull in the beginning and just when you think, hey this is a big moment for them, BAM you are taken right back to the tug and pull. There is lots of jealousy and negativity that is a constant throughout this book, but then there is this beautiful love that spreads out like butterfly wings on a glorious summer day and warms your heart and soul. Of course they face tragedy, but true love prevails in the darkest moments, and reminds us that forgiveness is the most powerful gift you can give someone else, and sometimes to yourself. I recommend this book to everyone.

I was given this book for an honest review.

I just want to say though I enjoyed the book there was things I didnt enjoy. The author made the heroin to sappy and way to forgiving and main male character was just plain rude. What I did like from the author is that she gave very descriptive storylines but some of the thing were told too late in the story. In which threw me off a little and had me stumbling to the end. I think that if the story and parts of it were told sooner it would have gone smoother.

The story is about learning to forgive your past and move on. You are introduced to caleb first, which he is a perdon that stays to himself and only has one close friend josh. He is paired up with angie for a project anf well thqt is how it all begins. At first he wants nothing to do with her and then changes his mind. As the story continues something serious happens to angie. But what you dont know is that caleb has a secret too, and you find that out more at the end of the book. There is a hea in the book and the epilogue is alright,so if you are looking for a colleged based story and looking for a pretty quick read this is a book to read.

Rebecca Brooke grew up in the shore towns of South Jersey. She loves to hit the beach, but always with her kindle on hand. She is married to the most wonderful man, who puts up with all of her craziness. Together they have two beautiful children who keep her on her toes. When she isn’t writing or reading (which is very rarely) she loves to bake and watch episodes of Shameless and TruBlood.

Synopsis
*Author Note: This is not a love story. This is a story of love gone wrong.* Growing up the way I did, you’d think I’d be more screwed up than what I actually am. Soon as I turned sixteen, I left that bump in the road I called home and took my chances on the street. Best decision I ever made. Now, at the age of twenty six, I’m educated, employed and damn good at my job. My friends have become my family. Like me, they know what it’s like to grow up unloved. But the saying is true. The world makes way for those who know where they are going. That’s me. I know where I’m going and I’ll get there eventually. On my own terms and at my own pace. But then there’s him. I feel his eyes on me. I see him hiding in plain sight. He watches me. He makes me feel. It’s unconventional. But it’s real. I’m sure you’re wondering how a person falls in love with their stalker. So am I. This isn’t a story. This is my life.

Mini Teaser
Staring down at my chest, she takes a step closer to me and whispers miserably, “I’m here to let Brad fuck me.” My cheek ticks and head implodes. She steps closer to me to add, “He’s going to fuck me. Fuck me til I forget you. Til I forget I ever met you. He’s helping me drown you out and I like when I’m not thinkin’ about you.” She looks into my eyes and repeats on a whisper, “You’re poison.”
